2011 IMA Family Conference

Posted by Bishop and Lady Michael Jackson on February 24, 2011 at 10:32 AM Comments comments (0)

Wow! What a Conference! Our first IMA Family Conference was a great success! Pastor Reginald Reid brought forth phenomenal instruction through the word of God and research on manner issues that affect us all. His motto “Laugh and Learn” created a comfortable atmosphere.

He was able to instruct in a relaxed environment and as he instructed the workshop he also shared from his experiences and testimonies. Starting with the life of a single person, the test to see if you’re “gifted” for singleness or do you to seek for companionship through marriage. We walked through the areas of youth and how the earlier sexual relationships began can affect life outcomes.

Then through the stages of pre-marriage to marriage, to the responsibilities of men and women to how to treat one another all the way to being better lovers – to identifying the cause(s) of what can break-up a marriage.

It was so much information until he was not able to complete it, but we forward to the next time Pastor Reid will come. I recommend Pastor Reid to any church, conference or special event.

What a time!:)

IMA 2011 Education Day

Posted by Bishop and Lady Michael Jackson on January 17, 2011 at 5:09 PM Comments comments (0)

Wow! What a great time we had our IMA 2011 Education Day! The Lord moved in a great and mighty way. Rev Ed Harris (Lubbock) kicked the program off with a wonderful presentation on insurance. Focusing on Life Insurance, he made us aware of the types of insurance coverages that are available and how to make the right choices for our family.

Pastor Roy Smith gave an excellent presentation on "Church Growth Principles". Discussing the problem and gave the us solution options, also presented on training your ministry staff. After the Lunch Break, we picked it back up again with Vendor presentations from Sis. Blackmon on church fundraising opportunities. Bro. West gave his prentation on "A healther You" , how to loose weight and products that give you an abundance of energy without the crash, as so energy drinks do.

To close us out, City Councilwoman Hailey & Mr. Crowover gave a presentation on insights the city government and oversight of the city and city government. They also held a roundtable panel discussion to answer questions from the community.

What a day, it was extraordinary - so many opportunities were given to improve your ministry, your family and your health.

Lets do this again! All Glory and Praises to our God!

Praise God from who all blessings flow!  What a time we had at this past week's events "2010 Revival Conference and Banquet".  The Lord brought Revival and took us up in the pressence.  The word that was spoken was exactly what the Lord wanted us to receive.  Special thanks to our speakers, Supt W.C. Kenan, Bishop Harrison Johnson Jr., Pastor Darion Thompson and  Rev. Billy Ashley.  What awesome men of God that the Lord has placed in our lives.  Each night of the Revival we went higher and higher, from word on "The Business of the Church", to "I am Connected to Him" and to "He is My Provider"...  Then the banquet, "Compelled, Convinced and Commissioned".  What great right on time word messages.

The IMA give it's first annual Community Service Award, recognizing christian work, service and committment in the community.  Congrats to Sis Mays the IMA award winner

Can't wait till next year to see what the Lord will do!
